About
My route into accounting began on the internal audit floor of People's Bank, one of Sri Lanka's largest banks — where I learned that every figure must survive scrutiny. Since 2023 I've worked inside UK accountancy-practice workflows: first at a UK accountancy practice, and today as an Accountant at a UK-focused outsourcing firm, preparing statutory accounts, MTD VAT returns, payroll and Self Assessment returns for a portfolio of UK clients.
I'm a part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka — Final Level, a pathway broadly equivalent to ACA/ACCA) and hold a BSc (Special) in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Alongside practice work, I take on remote bookkeeping engagements for UK and US businesses through Upwork and Fiverr — bringing practice-grade rigour to every ledger I touch.

FAQ
The things worth knowing up front — about software, security, timing and how we'd work together.
Xero and QuickBooks Online are my certified platforms — Xero to Level 3 (Specialist) and QuickBooks Online as a certified ProAdvisor. I also work day-to-day in Sage, VT, IRIS Elements, FreeAgent and FreshBooks, with Dext and Hubdoc for document capture, BrightPay, Moneysoft and Staffology for payroll, and Excel for analysis and reporting. If you're already set up on something, I'll work inside your system rather than move you.
Four steps, and the first two cost you nothing. We have a short intro call or message exchange so I understand your business and systems. You give me view-level access to your accounting file and document flow — nothing changes until we've agreed scope. Then we settle a weekly or monthly rhythm for bookkeeping, reconciliations and filings, with clear hand-back notes each cycle, plus regular management reporting so you always know where the books stand.
Yes. UK work is the core of what I do — bookkeeping, MTD VAT, payroll and FRS 102 year-end accounts — and I'm extending the same standard to US clients, where I'm a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. For US engagements that means tidy charts of accounts, accurate categorisation and reliable monthly closes.
I'm a part-qualified Chartered Accountant, reading the Final Level with CA Sri Lanka — a professional pathway broadly equivalent to ACA/ACCA — and I hold a BSc (Special) in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. I'm certified in Xero (Levels 1–3) and QuickBooks Online. Every certificate is on this site as the original document, dated, so you can read it rather than take my word for it.
It works in your favour. Sri Lanka runs 4.5–5.5 hours ahead of the UK, so work you send at the end of your day is typically finished before your next morning starts. For anything that needs a conversation, I'm available for calls during UK mornings.
Whichever secure method you already use. Most clients run receipts and invoices through Dext or Hubdoc and give me access to their Xero or QuickBooks file at the permission level they choose; others prefer a shared drive folder they control. I'll fit around your setup rather than ask you to adopt mine, and access stays yours to revoke at any point.
Enquiries get a reply within 24 hours. For ongoing work we agree a cadence up front — usually weekly or monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations — and filings are planned around the statutory deadline rather than against it, so VAT returns and year-end accounts are ready with time to review, not at the last minute.
Yes to both. I'm happy to sign your NDA before receiving any data. Beyond the paperwork, confidentiality is a professional obligation I was trained into — my career started in bank internal audit, where handling sensitive records correctly is the job. Your data is used only for your work, never shared, and access is at whatever level you set.
Two ways, agreed up front after a short call so there are no surprises: a fixed monthly fee for ongoing bookkeeping and compliance, or an hourly rate for one-off work like a catch-up or clean-up. Tell me your transaction volume and which software you're on, and I'll come back with a clear quote — no obligation.
